Replacement transmissions may be new, remanufactured, or quality-inspected used units depending on availability and the customer's budget. We prefer remanufactured transmissions that have been fully rebuilt to factory specifications with new bearings, synchronizers, and seals because they offer the reliability of a rebuild with a manufacturer warranty. When a used unit is the only practical option, we inspect it before installation and verify shift quality on the bench.
